Madison Public Library loves to empower people to learn new skills and practice useful crafts. Sewing is a great way to let your creativity show, do something hands-on, and make something that you can use (or maybe even wear) in everyday life. See upcoming opportunities to learn to sew or practice your craft in a club.

Join local artist and illustrator Rita Salm for a guided entry into the world of sewing! Adults will use sewing machines and patterns to make something fairly simple and useful - a tote bag. All materials will be provided and you will be able to make your bag your own with custom flair. At the end of the class, you should have your own tote bag to take home. There are two opportunities to take this class at Alicia Ashman Library this fall:

Space is limited; registration is required. Registration opens two weeks prior to each class.

Come sew with us! Simply Stitched is Sequoya Library's adult sewing group. Bring your own sewing machine and other supplies. Drop in to work on any sewing project you have, and to share tips and advice. This group meets regularly on Monday nights throughout the fall:
